I am an Associate Professor at the H. Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków.
My scientific research revolve around algebraic aspects of Quantum Physics which I approach with the methods of Discrete Mathematics. This especially includes exploration of combinatorial structures in the search for intelligible models of abstract algebraic constructs of the theory. Briefly, I would describe it as a way from abstract to concrete.
I have been always interested in the Foundations of Quantum Theory whose conceptual issues are inextricably bound up with abstract mathematical formalism of the theory. In that respect, I believe that insights and interpretations offered by combinatorial models have all prospects to elucidate at least some of the weird features of the quantum realm. After all, don't we we all reason about abstract in concrete terms?
