The Henryk Niewodniczanski Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kraków, with a staff of over 450 specialists and some 70 Ph.D. students, is the largest institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Institute has a long tradition in studying thermoluminescence and its dosimetric applications, initiated in 1960s by Tadeusz Niewiadomski.

The Conference will be held in the new 550-seat auditorium of the University of Science and Technology AGH in the Reymonta 7 street in Krakow, some 10 minutes' walk from the historical city center. The auditorium offers also ample space for poster presentations and technical exhibitions.

Krakow with its Jagiellonian University founded in 1364, is not only an important meeting point on the scientific map of Europe but is also a treasure of Polish and European history, visited by millions of tourists each year.
