Diamond coatings

The studies  concentrate on the diamond coatings prepared by chemical vapour deposition method which involves the growth of a solid material from reactions of chemicals in the gas phase.  We are particularly interested in producing polycrystalline diamond suitable for passive or active detectors. Diamond is believed to be an attractive material for those applications due to its outstanding properties: high sensitivity to the radiation, radiation hardness, mechanical and chemical resistance and tissue equivalence. Morphology, surface roughness, diamond crystal orientation and quality of deposited diamonds are obtained by measurements with scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy.
