Welcome
The research in our group is focused on measurements of biophysical properties of biological samples. We are using atomic force microscope (AFM) as it offers nanomechanical measurements in liquid, physiologically relevant conditions at single cell and molecule levels.
Main research topics are:
- measurements of elastic properties of living cells and tissues in relation to various diseases
- characterization of the interaction force between single ligand-receptor complexes
- designing of a new biosensor class based on protein micro-matrices
Our pioneering research dated from 1999 makes us a group of highly expertise researchers in the domain of AFM applications in biology and medicine.
