The versatile instrument designed for measurements of:

  • AC susceptibility χAC = χ' - iχ'', as a function of temperature, amplitude and frequency of the oscillating field, with or without DC bias field
  • DC magnetic moment as a function of temperature, applied DC field and time
  • DC and/or AC resistivity in zero or non-zero magnetic field


Temperature: 4.2 - 325 K
Frequency: 1 Hz - 1 kHz, 1 Hz steps and 1 kHz - 10 kHz, 10 Hz steps
AC field: 0.00125 OE to 25 Oe
DC field of superconducting magnet: H(DC) = od -57 kOe do +57 kOe

The instrument enables characterization of wide array of materials, including conventional and high Tc superconductors, from traditional magnetic substances to spin-glasses and organic molecule-based magnets, for samples in the form of bulk solids, powders , single crystals or thin films.
