Fisons Inc. series 8000 GC

Technical parameters:

  • Gas chromatograph Fisons series 8000 equipped with two ECD (Electron Capture Detector) detectors, working in the constant ionization current mode (one detector in each measurement track)
  • Two 10-way pneumatic valves, to which the analytical columns are connected, working in the "back flush" mode
  • In the first measuring track, the columns have a length of 0.6 i 3 m respectively and diameter 4 mm. They are filled with 10% SP2100 on Supelcoport 80/100 mesh
  • In the second measuring track, the columns have lengths of 3 i 1 m respectively and diameter 4 mm. They are filled with molecular sieve 5A, 80-100 mesh
  • Trójdrożne zawory elektromagnetyczne sterujące pracą zaworów 10-cio drożnych oraz przełączające zasilanie pętli analizowanym powietrzem lub wzorcem
  • Three-way electromagnetic valves controlling the operation of 10-way valves and switching the loop supply with the analysed air or standard. Computer registering the detector signal and controlling the operation of the entire system in a fixed time cycle

Application:

Measurement of the atmospheric concentration of halogenated compounds (CFC-11, CFC-12, CFC-113, chloroform, 1,1,1-trichloroethan, carbon tetrachloride) and SF6, taking active part in the destruction of the Earth's ozone layer and in the intensification of the greenhouse effect.



Shimadzu GC

Technical parameters:

  • Gas chromatograph Shimadzu GC-2014 equipped with TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector) detector with volume of 2µl
  • 10-way manual valve to which the analytical columns are attached
  • Cryogenic trap containing 0.4g of active carbon
  • The columns have a length of 1,5 m, 7 m and 3 m. The first two are filled with molecular sieve 5A, 80/100 mesh, while the third with molecular sieve 5A + activated carbon
  • Rotary pump
  • Computer that registers the detector signal

Application:

Measurement of helium (He) concentration in gas samples



Agilent 6890N GC/FID

Technical parameters:

  • Gas chromatograph Agilent 6990N equipped with FID (Flame Ionization Detector) detector
  • Capillary column CP-PoraBOND Q (25m, 0,32mm, 5 µm)
  • Computer that registers the detector signal

Application:

The FID detector, due to the low limit of detection and wide dynamic range, is a commonly used gas chromatographic detector. Recommended for the analysis of volatile hydrocarbons.
