2007 – 2012

The scope of work carried out under the direction of DAI engineers

Thermonuclear reactor of stellarator type W7-X was built in Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany. Collaboration agreement between MP IPP and IFJ PAN was signed in year 2007. In the framework of the agreement IFJ PAN committed to:

  • assemble of the bus bar system powering the superconducting coils of the stellarator
  • make the super low resistance electrical connections
  • participate in design of equipment and supporting structure for handling, transportation and assembly of outer vessel
  • manufacture 30 sets of mechanical parts for polichromators used in plasma diagnostics

Project management in IFJ PAN

Project Manager: M.Jeżabek
Deputy Project Managers: M.Stodulski, U.Woźnicka
Task Managers: Z.Sułek, L.Hajduk (2008-2011),
Deputy Task Managers: B.Dzieża (2010 – 2011), E.Górnicki 2010 – 2011),
