Polish Nucleonic Society (PTN) awards for the best work in the nuclear physics in 2013/2014

We are pleased to announce that the Polish Nucleonic Society awards for the best work in the nuclear physics the years 2013/2014, were given to Ms Ewa Nalichowska and Ms Magdalena Grochowska, respectively. They are both graduated from the University of Mining and Metallurgy (AGH) in the field of Technical Physics and Medical Physics respectively. The research was performed in the Institute of Nuclear Physics.

Ms Ewa Nalichowska, supervised by Dr Renata Kopeć (Individual and Environmental Dosimetry Laboratory) received second prize for the work entitled:
„Radiation protection in the nuclear power plant”.

Ms Magdalena Grochowska, supervised by Dr Renata Kierepko (Department of Nuclear Physical Chemistry), was awarded third prize for her work: „The calibration of the whole body spectrometer using a phantom of variable geometry”.
