On 3 July 2019 a delegation of the Institute of Nuclear Physics PAN visited the headquarters of the ITER Organization in Cadarache, France. The visitors, professors Marek Jeżabek, Tadeusz Lesiak, Marek Scholz and Wojciech Królas were welcomed by Mr. Bernard Bigot, the Director General of the ITER Organization and Mr. Michael Walsh, the Head of Port Plugs & Diagnostics Integration Division. The visit follows the signing of a collaboration agreement between the ITER Organization and IFJ PAN. During the meeting the ITER project and its present status, as well as the involvement of IFJ PAN in large science infrastructure projects and the European fusion research program were presented and discussed. A visit to the construction site of ITER was also part of the program.
