Detailed IFJ PAN task plan for 2020

The Institute cooperates with the most significant research institutions in the world:

  • European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN in Geneva
  • a group of French IN2P3 institutes, the Institut Laue-Langevin
  • Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna
  • German institutes: DESY in Hamburg, GSI in Darmstadt, KFZ in Jülich
  • Japanese research center KEK in Tsukuba
  • Italian laboratories in Legnaro, Milan and Pisa, and the University of Ferrara

The vast majority of research at IFJ PAN is conducted as part of international projects. The most significant within this research is our involvement in all phases of construction and operation of main physical experiments.

  1. Research in the area of particle physics and astrophysics
  2. Research in the area of nuclear and strong interaction physics
  3. Research in the area of condensed matter physics
  4. Interdisciplinary and applied research
  5. Scientific infrastructure development and methodological work

The Institute collaborates with a number of scientific institutions in Poland. Those with which we have the closest connections include:
