In the laboratory the following spectrometers and devices are avaiable.

LT-spectrometer The first positron lifetime spectrometer based on the two photomultiplayers XP2020 and plastic scintillator NE111 is working in the mode fast fast. The time resolution (FWHM) of the spectrometer is about 320 ps. The ratio background to signal is equal ca 18%
LT-spectrometer The second positron lifetime spectrometer based on the two photomultiplayers XP2020Q and the BaF2 scintillator is working in the mode fast fast. The time resolution (FWHM) of the spectrometer is about 250 ps. The ratio background to signal is equal ca 0.8%
DB-spectrometer The HpGe detector (Baltic Scientific Instruments) is the base of the Doppler broadening spectrometer of the annihilation line. It is a planar detector which allows to obtain good energy resolution FWHM=1.19 keV at the 511 keV. The pick to background ratio is close to 60:1. The spectrometer is joined with the second detector based on the NaI(Tl) scintillator and it allows to work in the coincidence mode. The pick to background ratio is close to 2000:1 in this case. Close to the detector we are able to fix permanent magnets, it allows to measure the Doppler broadening of annihilation line of the samples located in the external magnetic field which maximum magnetic induction is 1.78 T.
180-spectrometer The so called long slit apparatus, it allows to measure in the coincidence of the two colinear annihilation gamma quanta. The angle is fixed at 180 deg. Two detectors based on the long NaI(Tl) scintillator behind long slit measured the quanta. In this spectrometer temperature of the samples was changing form room up to 320 C, the number of coincidences is related to number of low momentum electrons which annihilate with positrons.
180-spectrometer The pin-on-disk set-up for tribo experiments is available in the laboratory as well. It is constructed in Institut für Kernphysik at Westfalishe Wilhelms-Universtat in Müenster and allows to measure the friction coefficient of the small steel ball versus the load and time on samples in the form of disk.
DB-spectrometer-second The second Hp Ge detector in our lab has been established for the measurement of the Doppler broadening of annihilation line. It based on is the 30% efficient coaxial Ge detector which allows to obtain the energy resolution FWHM= 1.38 keV interpolated at the 511 keV. The pick to background ratio is equal to 200:1 and it is much better than in the planar detector. This spectrometer can be joined with the NaI(Tl) detector to improve the peak to background ratio. Due to the high efficiency this set up will be applied to the so called slit experiment for measurements of the linear positron absorption coefficient in different materials.
DB-spectrometer-second The furnace (RST 50x200)) purchased from Czylok was installed recently. The temperature range of heating is between 20 -1100 C. The diameter of the quartz tube is equal to 45 mm and 795 mm long. The samples can be heated in inert atmosphere, however we plan to install a system for vacuum.
