Description:

Thermonuclear reactor of stellarator type W7-X was built in Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany. Collaboration agreement between MP IPP and IFJ PAN was signed in year 2007. In the framework of this agreement employees of DAI performed following works:

  • Assembly of the bus bar system powering the superconducting coils of the stellarator
  • Design of equipment and supporting structure for handling, transportation and assembly of outer vessel
  • Manufacturing of 30 sets of mechanics parts for polichromators used in plasma diagnostics
  • Connection of the bus bar systems between modules (at so called Module Separation Planes)
